Perfect for two couples or an extended family party, these lovely units are located on the grounds of one of
Santa Fe's architectural treasures; the historic
McKenzie/Irvine House.
This home was the first in Santa Fe to feature a pitched tin
roof and exemplify a Gothic Revival style of architecture.
This beautiful home was built in 1881 and has an Historic Santa Fe Foundation
plaque. The suite and free-standing casita share a
beautiful, private interior courtyard replete with peach trees
and a table with umbrella: perfect for lazy afternoons in the
high desert sunshine. This charming property is only three
blocks from the historic Santa Fe Plaza and just one short
block from the Georgia O’Keeffe museum and the new Santa Fe
Convention Center. For breakfast, eat in the courtyard or
wander to one of several enticing neighborhood cafes,
including our favorite: "Clafoutis" a tasty French bakery
and cafe
on Guadalupe Street.
The
Casita
is a charming restored adobe casita. It is approximately
430
sq. ft., featuring a bedroom with a queen bed, and an adjacent
sitting room with a brand new, fully-equipped modern
efficiency kitchen.
The sitting room has a pullout futon for an additional guest.
Amenities include a private bath, cable TV, wireless internet, luxurious towels
and linens, housekeeping upon check-in and check-out, coffee service and the shared,
beautiful, private courtyard. Off-street
parking is included as well.
The
Suite
is located within the historic McKenzie-Irvine House. The
Suite is very
spacious (about 630 sq. ft.) and has a large bedroom with a king bed plus a
sitting room with a pullout futon couch. The Suite offers the
same amenities as the Casita, except for the kitchen. Instead,
the Suite has a "breakfast bar" equipped only with a small
fridge, microwave, coffee maker, cups, wine glasses, bowls and
utensils. It has a
desk and workspace area, and an airy
feel due to the high ceilings and ample natural light. It also opens up to the private, shared courtyard
and patio. Off-street parking is included as well.
Both of these units are decorated in a modern and
contemporary adobe style. The colors, linens and artwork
simply burst with finesse. If you are looking for a tranquil
and convenient experience a short walk to
the Plaza, located in one of Santa Fe's historic homes, these
little jewels are perfect for you!
